Physique Physicians is more than just a 'fitness program'. It was founded in 2020 because we see a gap in the way women approach health & fitness. A '1 hour appointment' in a clinical setting never allowed us to be as hands on with the care and education we love providing.
The amount of women who seek out nutritional and naturopathic care wanting to both optimize their health, hormones, and build their dream physique is a significantly large number. We exist because we know this 'gap' first hand - lack of constant support, the opportunity to educate is only a small window, and the therapeutic relationship building can only go so far. We've closed that gap by creating Physique Physicians™.
Physique Physicians has successfully mentored hundreds of women through a life changing mind-body transformation. Without forgetting about the "lifestyle".
In my early 20's, I desperately needed the type of guidance that blended women's health, fitness, physique, and mindset. There was no one to turn to who could actually connect the science and make it applicable to me, the lifestyle I wanted to live, along with the physique that I wanted to build. I spent so many years of my 20's living life in extremes.
Even with my extensive post graduate education in both kinesiology & education, my history of playing high level sports, and being a certified personal trainer, I punished myself with countless hours of cardio & believed that carbs and calories were going to ruin all my progress. I tried every fad diet & 8 week challenge thinking it was going to get me physique and health that I had always dreamed of. I was mentally & physically exhausted from this way of living. My hormones were out of whack, and my health was on the line.
While completing my doctorate of naturopathic medicine, I created Physique Physicians in 2020. My driving force was to become an expert in health optimization and lifestyle / root cause medicine so that I could help close the obvious gap between health & fitness. I've dedicated my career to helping women learn the truth by 'doing' - mentoring women through their own body recomposition & mind-body transformation while educating them on not only the 'why', but the 'how to' in a lifestyle focused way.
While I’ve had a longstanding passion for health and wellness, it was really in my early 20’s when I was introduced to functional and holistic health. That's when I started to truly realize it's impact and became fascinated with understanding, learning, and subsequently teaching how connected our health was with not just our physical bodies, but with our mental health and internal world.
Health is so much more than just the absence of diagnosed disease. Through the years of studying functional health, training women in a gym setting, and working in a clinic with a focus on nutrition/ weight loss/ hormones I quickly became aware of the gap in majority of the world's current health industry.
While some modalities may look at one part of the picture (ie. naturopaths looking at hormones, blood work, & nutrition; trainers looking at exercise protocols but no nutrition/hormones; nutritionists looking at the diet, but not the physique result or lean muscle mass) there is a lack of options for women who want to consider all of these aspects synergistically.
Most women want to focus both on their internal health as well as feel confident with the physical. Physique Physicians does just this. It’s a blend of the different aspects of health so that women who come in can gain clarity and achieve the health and physique results they’ve constantly been searching for.
After graduating from competitive sports, I spent years trying "all of the things". I became frustrated and burnt out with the amount of information I was given with little results to show. It became apparent to me that doing "more" cardio, and being in a chronic deficit wasn't serving me. Fitness was no longer serving me and my lifestyle for the long-term.
Working in healthcare, I noticed that there was a large gap and a breakdown in the system related to lifestyle medicine, the behavioural/physical side of health, and mind-body connection and longevity. It became a goal of mine to simplify the systems to teach women how to make life changing progress with their health and physique while providing high-level support around their habits, thoughts, and fitness in a minimal way. Less cookie-cutter programs, and more of an individual approach to each person's functionality.
Over the last 4 years, I have been privileged to work with and observe the effects of dedicated women experiencing remarkable changes in health optimization and quality of life through the use of a lifestyle-focused approach. It brings me great joy to empower and educate women to create a strong foundation for optimal health, help them achieve body composition results in a strategic and measurable way, and build a resilient internal environment that reflects directly to our physical health.
It wasn’t until I became a mother of two in my early 20’s that I truly understood how much life has a way of reshaping us. As a teenager, I faced significant health challenges that nearly cost me my life — an experience that became the catalyst for my pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my certification as a Holistic Nutritionist. What I gained from those years wasn’t just knowledge, but a deep respect for the power of holistic well-being and the multidimensional identity shifts women face, especially in motherhood.I went from being a top-level Bikini competitor and CIS All-Canadian athlete to an overstimulated, overworked mom who felt her health slipping away. Like so many women, I found myself last on the list — tired, overwhelmed, and struggling to recognize the person in the mirror. One day I realized that if I didn’t choose to lead myself first, I couldn’t truly lead my family or my clients. That was the moment I decided to take my life back.Since then, I’ve learned that women don’t need another fad diet or “lose 20 lbs fast” challenge — what we need is clarity, compassion, and a framework that actually works for real life. That’s why I’m so grateful to be part of Physique Physicians: a team that simplifies the noise of the health and fitness industry, and helps women achieve lasting results in both their physique and their health.
For years, I believed being “in shape” meant eating less, doing more, and constantly trying to be smaller. After participating as a competitive bodybuilder, I collected first-place medals and trophies — but behind the scenes, I felt anything but healthy. I had no menstrual cycle, no hunger cues, struggled with brain fog and insomnia, and learned the hard way that extremes don’t create lasting results. That experience pushed me to dig deeper. I realized that if I wanted true change, I couldn’t keep chasing smaller — I needed to focus on getting stronger. Along the way, I discovered the power of mindset work and how it influences every choice we make with our health. I committed myself to learning, becoming certified as a Health Mindset Practitioner, and shifting my own training to prioritize hypertrophy, recovery, and fueling performance instead of restriction. What followed was not just physical transformation, but an entirely new way of living. Now, as a coach, my passion is helping women cut through the noise of the health and fitness industry and find what actually works long-term. My mission is to teach women how to train with purpose, eat in a way that supports both health and physique, and reframe their mindset so they feel confident in the process. I know from experience that freedom comes from strength — and the weight on the barbell will always matter more than the weight on the scale.
For as long as I can remember, I thought my worth came from doing more. As a high level competitive dancer for many years, performance felt like home. More competitive dance routines, more perfect grades, more hours in the gym — because only then did I feel like I had earned rest or confidence. I chased that tiny, “perfect” version of myself like it was the finish line. But in 2023, something shifted. Despite the trophies and the 4.0 GPA, I wasn’t happy or fulfilled — I was burnt out, disconnected, and running on autopilot. I realized that piling on more discipline wasn’t making me stronger; it was keeping me stuck in survival mode. What I wanted was to feel like an athlete again — energized, confident, and powerful — without the extremes that had once defined me.That curiosity led me to Functional Nutrition, where I discovered my love for problem-solving and a new truth: there is no one-size-fits-all formula for women. We are dynamic systems, and our needs shift over time. This realization sparked not just a passion but a purpose — guiding women out of the “all or nothing” mindset and into an approach that feels sustainable, balanced, and aligned.Today, as a Functional Nutrition Coach with Physique Physicians, my mission is simple: help women stop exhausting themselves to feel worthy and instead reclaim their health in a way that feels like coming home. Because worthiness isn’t something you earn — it’s something you remember.
Sport, fitness, and health have always been a part of who I am. Growing up, being active felt second nature — whether it was on the ice, in the gym, or just enjoying movement for all that it has to offer. Health and fitness weren’t things I “added in,” they were woven into my lifestyle from the very beginning. I lost this sense of routine and structure in my adult life from living a lifestyle constantly on the move — new locations, new people, new societal pressures. I found myself craving that same sense of strength, energy and fulfillment that came from being an athlete. What I came to realize is that feeling like an athlete again isn’t about restriction or chasing the next fad — it’s about building habits that support you no matter where life takes you. I learned how to fuel my body in a way that feels good, train with purpose, and approach health in a way that’s sustainable. And in the process, I reconnected with that part of myself I thought I had lost. Now, as Physique Physicians’ Executive Assistant and having gone through this process as a client for over a year for myself, I get to embody this lifestyle in two ways: living it personally and supporting the team behind the scenes. For me, transformation isn’t about giving things up — it’s about finding a way to live life better, stronger, and more aligned with who you want to become.
We promise you this will be the last investment you'll ever need to make to finally achieve your health and fitness goals. We guarantee it.
